Downlink Speed
The rate at which web pages and other media (documents, movies, music, etc) download from the Internet to your computer. Clearwire downlink speeds are up to 25 times faster than dialup. Compare.

Uplink Speed
The rate at which files and media can be uploaded from your computer to the Internet, such as email attachments (documents, pictures, movies, etc).

Email Addresses
Keep in touch with Clearwire email. You'll have several accounts that you can personalize (yourname@clearwire.net) and manage online. Check email on the Web from anywhere in the world or use your favorite email program. Includes spam & virus protection. Can purchase additional email addresses with any plan.

Web Account
Build a Web site for your business, community group, family or special interest. Includes storage space for basic Web hosting needs, and unlimited transfer amounts. Also includes an online Web site manager. You'll have a yourname.clearwire.net domain, and/or purchase or transfer your own domain through our domain name registration service. Can purchase additional Web space with qualifying plans.

Static IP Address
An IP address is a number assigned to your computer that identifies it on the Internet. Static IPs are permanent numbers popular with Web developers and people operating a network or server. A dynamic IP address is a temporary number that is assigned each time a computer connects to the Internet and is used most often for common Internet usage.

Broadband Adapter Lease
The Clearwire adapter is provided on a low monthly lease basis so so there are no large upfront equipment purchases required to begin using the service.

ClearPlugs™
ClearPlugs are small devices that allow you to set up the Clearwire modem in one room and connect it to a computer in another room, using your home's existing wiring. Useful for acquiring the best signal in various areas of a home or office. See the Accessories page for more information.
