Call Waiting

Using phone features on your VoIP phoneA short tone signals that another person is trying to call you while you are on the phone. You can put one call on hold while handling the second call, or alternate between the two.

To Use Call Waiting
1. When you hear a brief tone, quickly press and release the receiver button on your phone. Answer the second call.
2. To return to the first call or alternate between calls, quickly press and release the receiver button each time.
3. You may also answer the waiting call by hanging up and waiting for the phone to ring.
4. To cancel either call, simply hang up. When your phone rings again, you’ll be connected with the person who is still on the line.

To Cancel Call Waiting Per Call
1. Before making your call, press *70 on your touchtone phone (or dial 1170 on rotary.), You will hear 3 short tones followed by the dial tone.

3. Call Waiting/3 Way Calling is automatically restored when you hang up.

Call Forwarding

Lets you temporarily forward calls to another number you select.

To Use Call Forwarding
1. Press *72 on your touchtone phone (or dial 1172 on rotary.),
2. When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number where you want the call to go. Wait for that person to answer.
3. If the line is busy or no one answers, hang up and repeat steps 1 and 2. Two quick tones means Call Forwarding is working.
4. Check that your calls will be forwarded by pushing *72 on your touchtone phone (or dial 1172 on rotary.), A busy signal tells you Call Forwarding is in effect.
5. Remove Call Forwarding by pressing *73 on your touch tone phone (or dial 1173 on rotary.), Two quick tones followed by dial tone means your calls are no longer being transferred.

Caller ID

Lets you know what number is calling before you answer the phone. Caller ID requires either a phone with a Caller ID display or a display unit which will store telephone numbers of recent callers.

Calls marked “Private” or “anonymous” are from callers who have chosen to block their name and number.

To Turn Off Caller ID Blocking
Anonymous Call Rejection informs callers who have blocked their name and number that the party they are trying to reach does not accept blocked calls. The blocked party is informed that they can unblock their call by hanging up, picking up the receiver, dialing *82 (1182 on rotary), and redialing the desired telephone number.

Caller ID Blocking Options
Because there may be occasions when you want to call without having your name and number displayed, with Caller ID the following options are available:

1. Per Call Blocking – Blocks your name and number on a per call basis. To use, dial *67 (1167 on rotary), before you dial the phone number you are calling. There is no charge to use Per Call Blocking and it is automatically on your line.

2. Line Blocking – Blocks your name and number on all calls you make unless you unblock with *82 (1182 on rotary.), Line Blocking is automatic once you have requested that it be added to your line. To remove Blocking on just one call, press *82 (1182 on rotary), before you dial the number. This will allow your name and number to display to the Caller ID customer on just that one call.
