WiFi Security Consumer grade WiFi access points and client devices generally are not packaged and shipped with security features enabled. There are several factors involved in determining the best security for your access point.

Do you want to have a public or private wireless network?

• Perhaps you own a coffee shop and want your visiting clients to be able to access the internet using your connection.
• Maybe you have a consulting company and want to allow your clients internet access.
• If you want your network to be “Private” at a minimum you must enable some level of the network security shipped with the 802.11x WiFi device.
